Love is the goal of all other goals

Dr. Bill Shiell said "If you have a normal family, or, even if you have a functional one..." --and I think he completely captured family reality in that eloquence-- it gave me heart and courage to continue embracing my failings, to see the faults in my family, then to un-see them. It may sound cliche, but truly it is Love --impartial compassion-- which can lift us out of our normalcy. It cuts through the little interior soap operas, the despair, the imagination-projection-neuroses.
